I started working at Area Floors about 2 months ago, right before the holidays. I am very excited to work here with such a great group of people, at an organized and creative company. I am taking over the accounting duties, working on the stores online presence updating our website, blog, newsletters and learning all about floors!
My background is in computer science, from digital design to IT support. I have a degree in Computer Animation and in Art and Design. I love being creative and making new things. I have a great eye for design and color and I also love to paint. I have worked on a few commercials and music videos as a character animator. My highest accomplishment is my family. I have a wonderful husband who I have been married to for 10 years this month! My husband Joe and I grew up in Bend, Oregon, we meet when we were only 13 years old a few years later we were inseparable and we knew we would be together forever. We have a son named Joe Jr. he is in the 4th grade and always keeps me on my toes. I am very amazed at how fast he has grown up, in the next year or so he will be bigger then me! For the last 11 years my husband has been working as a tile setter, we have found ourselves moving around the country for his work as the construction industry goes up and down. This year we are happy to be back on our feet after the last few years trying to find steady work, finding Portland to be a great place to call home
