High Design for Less

Get the Look for Less! - great ideas for low cost high design

Create Design with Tile

Use different sizes of tile to recreate this look. There is nothing fancy about this installation, or the materials but when two sizes of the same tile are used in one location you can create an interesting look for less.

Create designs with 12×12 tile in a shower by changing the direction they are set, this creates a expensive look for less by eliminating costly decorative tiles like liners and chair rails. Simply set tiles straight then about half way up change direction and set on the diagonal.  For floors, use tile on a diagonal to create the illusion of a larger room.

Renovating your kitchen is a place you can spend large amounts of money on, but if you focus your attention to backslash you can cut your costs. Try using a laminate counter top and a creative back splash. There are many glass and porcelain tiles that can help you spice up your kitchen with out blowing the budget.
